West Cape May Observes Fire Prevention Week

WEST CAPE MAY – During Fire Prevention Week Chief Charles McPherson and the West Cape May Volunteer Fire Company was pleased to give every household who has a child in the West Cape May Elementary School a small fire extinguisher. The Pyrocap Formula 7 is a small fire suppressant canister (fire extinguisher) which should be kept in the kitchen near where the cooking is done. It is non toxic, easy to use, 100% bio degradable, environmentally safe, non corrosive, and contains no CFCs. It should be used with discretion for small fires such as a small grease fire on the stove.
The Fire Prevention Program was presented to the youngsters of the West Cape May Elementary School by Captain Robert W. Elwell, Sr. A film was shown and fire prevention materials were given to the children in the school. The staff saw to it that the fire extinguishers were distributed safety to the parents/guardians of the students.
