Week Ahead from the Nature Center of Cape May

CAPE MAY –
Oct. 24:
• Harborside Chat features begins at 6:00 featuring NJ Audubon’s very own Vice President of Education, Dale Rosselet who will share why the Cape May region is known as one of the top birdwatching spots on the globe. Ms. Rosselet will also discuss efforts to designate Cape Island as a certified Community Habitat.
Oct. 25:
• Autumn Weekend: The Bird Show – Open House Weekend begins at 9:00.
• Mommy and Me Children’s Program at the Nature Center begins at 10:30
Oct. 26:
•Youth Birding Series: Day long special programming begins at 8:00.
• Autumn Weekend: The Bird Show – Open House Weekend begins at 9:00.
Oct. 27:
• Autumn Weekend: The Bird Show – Open House Weekend begins at 9:00.
Oct. 30:
• Pumpkin Palooza: An Open House Pumpkin Carving Party begins at 5:00. BYOP (Bring your own pumpkin). A fun family program; we’ll provide the tools and patterns, you bring the creativity.
Oct. 31:
• Harborside Chat features South Jersey’s very own, JERSEY DEVIL, begins at 6:00.
Nov. 1:
• Mommy and Me Children’s Program at the Nature Center begins at 10:30
Nov. 2 and 3:
• Birdseed sale begins at 9:00 on Saturday and 11:00 on Sunday.
Remember, the Nature Center is hosting themed nature walks on the 3rd Saturday of each month running through March, 2014. Walks will be led by Naturalist, Sam Wilson and October’s theme will be “Birds, Birds, Birds!”
