Volunteer Opportunity at CONTACT Cape-Atlantic

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – CONTACT Cape-Atlantic is looking for volunteers to staff the reassurance program that provides daily telephone calls to the elderly and disabled. The calls serve as a friendly hello, as well as a check to make sure that all emergency needs are being met. Volunteers manage calls in shifts that are 2-1/2 hours (8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) This service is provided seven days a week from our phone centers, which are in Margate and Cape May Court House.
Those who would like to be the friendly voice for the elderly and disabled may call Ann P. Magee at (609) 823-1850 (Atlantic County) or (609) 463-4564 (Cape May County). Check us out on the web at www.contactcapeatlantic.org.
CONTACT Cape-Atlantic is a United Way Partner agency.
