COURT HOUSE – In honor of EMS week, May 15 to May 21, the Middle Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps will be hosting an open house at their building on Sunday May 15 2pm to 5pm; at 202 South Main Street Cape May Court House, right across from Court House Pizza.
The Middle Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps began operations on July 1, 1958. Over the past 50+ years, the men and women of the Corps have been providing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for Middle Township residents and visitors around the clock, seven days a week, during severe weather conditions or beautiful skies, in addition to holding regular jobs and taking care of their families. They do not get paid nor do they bill people for their services, they do it because they care about their community.
There will be plenty of fun for both kids and adults alike; it’s a chance to come out, meet the men and women of the Corps, talk with them, and see their building and trucks. Over the past 50-plus years, the men and women of the Corps have provided emergency medical services for Middle Township residents and visitors around the clock, seven days a week, during severe weather conditions or beautiful skies.
That assistance was given in addition to holding regular jobs and taking care of their families. Squad members do not get paid nor do they bill for their services, they do it “because we care about our community. Helping people is what makes us happy,” according to a release.
The open house is being held in honor of EMS Week, May 15-21.
There will be plenty of fun for kids and adults, the release stated.
“It’s a chance to come out, meet us, talk with us, and see our building and trucks. We will also be doing blood pressure checks and you’ll be able to ask any and all questions you may have,” the release concluded.
