COURT HOUSE – Upcoming Library Events and Programs in Dec.:
County Library Hosts Technology Learning Program:
The Cape May County Library will host “Technology Petting Zoo” presented by Melissa Brisbin and Jeff Trout throughout the month of Dec. The program will take place at the Main Library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House. Hours will vary depending on the availability of staff.
The Cape May County Library is here to help you learn about mobile devices. We have a wide variety of eReaders, iPads, Android-based tablets and Kindles. These devices are readily available for anyone to stop by and discover, play and ask questions. No registration required. Fri., Dec. 7:
Cape May County Library Hosts Holiday Celebration:
The public is invited to the Annual Holiday Celebration at the Main Library on Fri., Dec. 7, the night of Christmas in Court House. The Main Library is located at 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
List of events:
Noon – 7:30 p.m. ─ Bake sale to benefit Lunch with Lynch
4:30 – 7:30 p.m. ─ Tech the Halls: Hands on technology help with the new TLC Department
5 & 6:30 p.m. ─ Christmas Puppet Show performed by The Library Children’s Department
5:15 – 5:45 p.m. ─ Musical performance by the Joyful Ringers Bell Choir
5:30 – 7:30 p.m. ─ Craft time for adults & children
6 p.m. ─ Library’s Bookmobile is in the Annual Christmas Parade

Sat., Dec. 8:
Make Holiday Ornaments at County Library:
The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend the workshop “Felted Holiday Ornament” instructed by Paige Cunningham at 10 a.m. on Sat., Dec. 8. The workshop will take place at the Cape May City Branch Library located at 110 Ocean Street, Cape May. Get ready for the holidays with needle-felted decorations. We will use colorful wool roving to create holiday ornaments, decorations and holiday pins. Please bring felting needles and foam block to class.

County Library Hosts Movie Night:
The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend a viewing of Scrooged. The program will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Mon., Dec. 10 at the Sea Isle Branch Library located at 4800 Central Avenue, Sea Isle City.

County Library Hosts LEGO Club:
The Cape May County Library invites children ages 5 to 12 years old and their caregivers to LEGO Club to be held at four library branches in Dec.
In order to develop a theme for each meeting, we’ll read books to get ideas about what to construct and then bring out the LEGOs and build, build, build! Parents are encouraged to stay through the meetings and build with their kids.

The Cape May County Library invites children ages 2 to 6 and their families to attend Sugarplum Storytime in Dec.
Celebrate the season with this pajama storytime! We will read holiday stories, sing songs and decorate a cookie to eat with milk!

County Library Hosts Natural History Lectures:
The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend “Natural Cape May” presented by Mike Crewe at 6 p.m. on Thur., Dec. 13. The program will take place at the Cape May City Branch Library located at 110 Ocean Street, Cape May.
Take a look at the natural world in Cape May County and beyond. Birds, mammals, flowers, insects and much more, all come under the spotlight as we look at what to expect now and in the coming month. County Library Hosts Aromatherapy Workshop:
The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend “Naturally Scented Holiday Candles: An Aromatherapy Workshop” presented by Kinko Hamilton. The workshop will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Fri., Dec. 14 at Sea Isle Branch Library located at 4800 Central Avenue, Sea Isle City.
This season create naturally scented holiday candles. These pure and potent candles promote physical, emotional and spiritual health. Participants will make two candles and receive wrapping and accessories to turn the candles into a great holiday gift.

Sat., Dec. 15:
County Library Hosts Cooking Demonstration on Healthy Holiday Faire:
The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend “Cape Cuisine: Healthy Holiday Faire” presented by Chef Mark Kalla at 1 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 15. The program will take place at the Main Library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
Chef Kalla will demonstrate how to prepare healthy holiday foods. Learn how to trim the fat and keep the flavor of traditional Christmas foods. Participants will be invited to sample the foods that have been prepared.

County Library Offers iPhone Learning Program:
The Cape May County Library will present “Exploring the iPhone” from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 15. The program, taught by Melissa Brisbin, will take place at the Main Library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
Are you thinking about a new phone or just curious about why the iPhone is so popular? This class will illustrate the basic functionality of the iPhone, as well as, look into tips, tricks and shortcuts that will benefit the novice to the expert.

Wed., Dec. 17, Wed., Dec. 19:
County Library Offers Holiday Craft Class for Teens:
The Cape May County Library invites teens, ages 12 to 18, to come to a special craft class just for them in Dec.. Teen Holiday Card Crafts will take place at two of the library’s branches. The first class will be held on Mon., Dec. 17th at 3:30 p.m. at the Main Library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House. The second class will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 19 at the Lower Cape Branch located at 2600 Bayshore Road, Villas.
Come and make holiday or winter-themed greeting cards for your family or friends. We will have plenty of rubber stamps and other festive supplies for you to use.

County Library Hosts Teen Manga Club:
The Cape May County Library invites teens, ages 12 to 18, to join the new teen Manga Club at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 19. The club will be held at the Main Library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
Do you love manga or want to learn more about Japanese comics? Are you 12 to 18 years old? Join us in the Teen Zone to talk about your favorite manga series, draw manga-style art and recommend new manga that you would like to see on our shelves.
