COURT HOUSE – The youth of our nation are hungry for answers, desperate for direction. A myriad of voices continually calls them. “Are you confused about life, don’t know what’s going on? Steal off with me, I’ll show you a good time! No one will ever know—I’ll give you the time of your life.” Rather than listening to Madame Folly, kids want to hear the real thing, no lies, no deception. They want the truth. And that is exactly what Cape May County Right to Life and Peer Challenge offer at their annual pro-life and abstinence youth rally to be held in April. A dynamite recipe for healthy relationships is to marinate teenagers in absolute truth. Lady Wisdom calls out, “Are you confused about life, don’t know what’s going on? Come with me, oh come, have dinner with me! Leave your impoverished confusion and live! Walk up the street to a life with meaning.” Keeping a vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.
This year’s 2nd annual Truth and Teens (TNT) chastity and prolife youth rally will be held April 9, 2016 from 10:00 am to 1:00 p.m. and will be held at Wildwood Catholic High School, 1500 Central Avenue, North Wildwood, NJ 08260. Matt Maher, former professional soccer player and author, will once again be the keynote speaker. Peer Challenge will bring its infamous “Wheel of Misfortune” and engage the students in several activities to help them see the wisdom and benefits of saving sex for marriage. Christian songwriter and recording artist, Dawson Coyle will perform. Dawson’s songs focus on being a light for Christ. Christian recording artist Chelsea Musick will make you laugh and cry with her songs. She will also speak about purity and bullying. Both musicians are from South Jersey. The rally is free and is open to students from grade 7 through grade 12. The rally includes a complimentary lunch for all participants. Rally registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. Enter Wildwood Catholic High School through the 15th Avenue entrance. Students should reserve their TNT space by March 26, 2016 by calling 609-884-1861 or by having their church youth leader or religious education leader call for them. Pastors, youth ministers and religious education leaders and parents are also encouraged to attend.
Feb. 27, Cape May County Right to Life and Peer Challenge hosted a second annual pastors’ breakfast to outline the upcoming TNT chastity and prolife rally. Pastors from 16 different churches in Cape May County turned out for the free breakfast, as well as 1 church in Atlantic County, a private school principal and lay leaders. While not all of the seventy-five plus churches in Cape May County that were invited showed up, those who did were attentive and responsive, a good indication of their desire to work together for the benefit of our youth. Matt Maher spoke at the pastors’ breakfast about the lack of truth available in our culture for teenagers.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
