COURT HOUSE – It’s that time of year again when little goblins and witches will be going door-to-door in search of sweet treats.
Below is a listing of trick or treat times in Cape May County municipalities along with special events planned to make the holiday safe and fun.
• Avalon, Oct. 31, 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. On Sat., Oct. 29, Avalon Recreation Department will host a Children’s Halloween party at Community Hall at 1 p.m.
• Cape May: Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m.
• Cape May Point, Oct. 29, 5 p.m. -8 p.m. Children will ride a hay wagon to participating homes. Pre-registration is required. A sign up sheet is available at the Cape May Point Post Office.
• Dennis Township, Oct. 31, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Lower Township: Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m.
• Middle Township: Oct. 31, 5-8 p.m. A Halloween Parade will be held Wed., Oct 26 at 7 p.m.
• North Wildwood: Oct. 31, 5-8 p.m. Oct. 31. Hal-loween Trunk or Treat will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Municipal Parking Lot, Olde New Jersey Ave. between First and Second avenues. Prizes for the best-decorated vehicles. Automobile registration forms available at North Wildwood Rec. Center- (609) 522-2955.
• Ocean City, Oct 31, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. A Halloween Parade will be held Oct. 27 at 7:15 p.m. on Asbury Avenue between 6th and 11th streets. On Oct. 29, downtown merchants will hold trick or treat from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. from 6th to 11th streets on Asbury Ave. Call (609) 525-9300 for information. The event is sponsored by the Upper Township Soccer Association.
• Sea Isle City, Oct. 31, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
• Stone Harbor, Oct 31, 4 p.m.-8 p.m. The Stone Harbor Harvest Festival will be held Sat. Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. that includes a pet costume parade at 2 p.m., a costume parade for people at 3 p.m. and trick or treating. Activities take place along 96th Street.
• Upper Township, Oct. 31, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
• West Wildwood, Oct. 31, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
• Wildwood and Wildwood Crest: Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m. Greater Wildwood Elks’ Halloween Haunted House will be open Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Wildwood Elk’s Lodge #1896, First & New Jersey avenues. Trick or treaters walk through a haunted house and receive treats. Admission is free.
• Woodbine, Oct. 31, 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. The Woodbine Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization is sponsoring a Trunk or Treat event along the bike path from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
