NJ.com is powered by the Newark Start Ledger and 11 other central/northern New Jersey newspapers.
NJ.com asked their readers to place nominations for their favorite boardwalk and took the most popular nominees to the final round. Readers shared their votes on the website’s comment section, on the NJ.com Facebook page and by following NJ.com on Twitter using the hashtag #bestshore.
The Wildwoods came in first place with 31.6% of the popular vote.
The world-famous boardwalk features the legendary Sightseer Tram Car and five miles of shops, eateries, water parks, live entertainment and amusement piers. The Wildwoods secures both the 2012 and 2013 title for NJ.com’s “Favorite Boardwalk’.
“We’re honored to receive this accolade and proud of all the family-friendly attractions our boardwalk has to offer”,” said John Siciliano, Executive Director for the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement & Development Authority (GWTIDA).
The Wildwoods also recently won the NJ.com award for ‘Best of Shore – Favorite Beach’.
