Take ‘Selfies’ and Win a T-shirt from the Crest

By Press Release

WILDWOOD CREST — Like to take “selfie” pictures and post them to social media? You can now win a cool Wildwood Crest T-shirt after doing so.
The Borough of Wildwood Crest has unveiled its new Photo Spots Contest, in which visitors and residents can post “selfie” pictures near a variety of Wildwood Crest locations and win a T-shirt featuring the new Wildwood Crest logo.
Participants in the contest are required to take “selfie” pictures with at least five of 10 different designated Wildwood Crest landmarks in the background and post them to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Participants are required to tag Wildwood Crest on Facebook, @VisitWildwoodCrest on Twitter or @Visit_Wildwood_Crest on Instagram while using #VisitWildwoodCrest when posting.
The first 300 people to post photos from at least five of the 10 designated photo spots will receive a Wildwood Crest T-shirt. Photos can be posted separately or together as a collage. Winners will be contacted by the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department. Winners must pick up T-shirts in person at the Wildwood Crest Pier Recreation Center.
“We came up with this contest as way for our visitors and residents to get out and see the many great landmarks and scenic locations here in Wildwood Crest,” said Don Cabrera, Wildwood Crest Commissioner of Public Works and Recreation. “Not only is this a fun contest for the participants, but it also creates free positive marketing and advertising for Wildwood Crest through a variety of social media outlets.”
The 10 Wildwood Crest landmarks include the ocean end of the Wildwood Crest Beach Pier at Heather Road, Sunset Lake between Rambler Road and New Jersey Avenue, the Centennial Park entertainment pavilion at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue, Coleman-Callahan Veterans Park at Rosemary Road and Park Boulevard, the Gazebo-by-the-Sea at Sunrise Park at Rambler Road, baseball statues at Morey Field at Aster Road and Ocean Avenue, the Wildwood Crest Bike Path Arch at Cresse Avenue, any lifeguard boat or lifeguard stand on the Wildwood Crest beach, the Wildwood Crest Bike Path at Rambler Road and the new Wildwood Crest branch of the Cape May County Library at Wisteria Road and Atlantic Avenue. Signs are posted at each of the photo spot locations.
