WOODBINE – Woodbine’s Sustainable Jersey Green Team will hold a “Rainbarrel Workshop” April 18, 2017, starting at 6:30 pm at the Woodbine Community Center, 812 Longfellow, Woodbine.
Participants will learn about the use and advantages of rainbarrels and make a rainbarrel to take home. (This is a free workshop; registration is required).
Speaker and instructor will be from the American Littoral Society.
“Rain barrels harvest rain water to irrigate gardens and landscape plants. In doing so, they help reduce the amount of fertilizer and pesticides that are carried offsite by stormwater runoff and thus work towards preventing nonpointsource pollution in our lakes, rivers, and streams,” commented Mayor Pikolycky. “Come join the Green Team in a fun and educational activity.”
For more information and to register, please contact the Woodbine Green team by emailing clerk@boroughofwoodbine.net or calling the Clerk at 861-2153.
Registration deadline is April 10.
