Summer Plunge benefits Special Olympics

By On Deck Staff

Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ) invites you to take a dip in this summer’s newest addition to our growing list of year-round plunges!
The Chik’n Plunge & Fest, for those who can’t “bear” a winter Plunge may be just the ticket.
The Chik’n Plunge & Fest is a group plunge that will take place on the beach at the Wildwoods Convention Center, August 1.
Chik’n Plungers will enjoy music and a festival atmosphere with D.J.s and live music at Fox Park (directly across the street) before and after the plunge.
Costume contests, food, games and family friendly fun will round out the day.
Over 18 years of age Plunge for $50
Under 18 Plunge for $25
If you’ve taken a winter Plunge with SONJ and you’re planning to take the Chik’n Plunge, you’re a Double Dippin’ Chik’n Plunger and you’ll receive a special plunge t-shirt and hat.
The festivities begin at 3 p.m., and plunge time is 5 p.m., with the festival continuing until 10 p.m.
For additional information about this and other events, contact Special Olympics New Jersey, 609-896-8000.
You can also register for the 1st Chik’n Plunge at www.njpolarplunge.sonj.org.
