Students Celebrate 100 Days of School

100 Days DTSD

By Press Release

DENNIS TOWNSHIP – To celebrate the 100th Day of the school year, Dennis Township students in kindergarten through third grade made signs, sang songs, had a 100 second dance party, practiced counting to 100 in different ways, and dressed up as though they were 100 years old.
Principal Jamie VanArtsdalen, working with teachers and staff, put the activities together as a way of having a fun day with an educational theme.  She notes that the 100th day falls in the winter doldrums, so having some excitement on a gloomy, chilly February day can make everyone perk up.  She provided cupcakes for the entire building so everyone, staff and students alike, could end the 100th day on a sweet note.
