STONE HARBOR – Sink your toes into the sand for the first time this year as Stone Harbor ceremonially opens its beautiful beaches for the 2011 summer season on May 29, at 4 pm.
Catch a memorable photo as members of Stone Harbor’s beach patrol row Mayor Suzanne Walters out to sea, where she will set a ceremonial wreath afloat upon the water, signaling the start of a bright new beach season in Stone Harbor.
Immediately following the wreath ceremony – we will have a burning of the socks ceremony – everyone is invited to bring their socks, throw them into a beach fire pit and put on their flip flops as summer officially arrives in Stone Harbor!!
