Stone Harbor Museum Finds New Location

STONE HARBOR – The Stone Harbor Museum has obtained a new larger location at 9410 Second Ave, formerly the William Ris Gallery. The Museum had outgrown it’s current location at 235 93rd St. and has been searching for three years for a suitable larger location to properly display their more than 50,000 artifacts, provide sufficient environment for historical research and space to enjoy educational lectures & programs. 
The Museum is a 501c3 certified nonprofit organization whose mission is “to acquire, preserve, display, celebrate and promote archival and artifactual items relevant to the development of our unique cultural heritage and to delight, inspire and educate the present and future generations about the story of Stone Harbor, NJ”.
More than 13,000 people from 23 different states & 6 countries have visited the Stone Harbor Museum, the new larger location will be able to serve many more now.
Bruce Tell, Museum Director, stated “Our vision is to be an inviting informative and innovative community resource that is recognized and respected as the place for exploring and celebrating the rich cultural  heritage of Stone Harbor, NJ”.
Museum President Terrie Cwik stated “We are excited and proud that our new larger location, one block from new library and main shopping district, will be easily accessible for everyone to explore, do research and enjoy. We invite everyone to come and visit. We are seeking volunteers who are interested in being docents to contact us”.
