Star Hollow Riders 4-H Club has had an amazing year. Our club officers are Jessica Raymond, president, Mackenzie Doughty, vice president, Coryn Dykhouse, secretary and Devin Mathis, treasurer. Our club has members of all ages.
Star Hollow Riders started the year off by working together as a club to participate in Operation Christmas Child. Our members put together over 20 shoeboxes filled with gifts and necessities that were distributed to boys and girls in need around the world. The DiPalantino family sponsored this event and paid to have all of the boxes shipped.
Our members continued to thrive on and off their horses this year. Many of the Star Hollow Riders also participated in the International Equestrian Association (IEA) and competed throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Some of our members also participated in 4-H Winter Camp. Two of our members, Mina LaFrance and Coryn Dykhouse, represented our club at the annual 4-H South Jersey Teen Conference in March.
Star Hollow Riders continue to dedicate themselves to community service. In the spring, our club helped plant flowers for Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. We also worked together to help beautify the fairgrounds. This year has been great and we continue to look forward to growing as individuals and a club!
