St. Ann Regional School, Wildwood, has announced its schedule of events to celebrate Catholic School Week, Jan. 31 to Feb. 5. This year’s theme is “Catholic Schools: Dividends for Life Faith-Knowledge-Discipline-Morals”
On Sunday, Jan. 31 there will be an opening Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Ann Church. All students asked to attend in school uniform. CYO basketball players and cheerleaders may attend in sports uniform. After Mass, enjoy a coffee social in the school auditorium and stay to watch the basketball teams compete against Assumption Regional School starting at 12:30 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 1 is Community service Day. Students send a special Thank you to the community. It’s Cookie Day.
Tuesday, Feb. 2, celebrate Red, White and Blue Day by honoring our Nation at a 10 a.m. assembly: “The Story of Old Glory,” and Patriotic Art Contest Winners Announced
Wednesday, Feb. 3 is Student Appreciation Day. Free Dress Down Day for students and teachers and a school Spelling Bee at 10 a.m. Dismissal at 12:30 p.m. Then from 1 to 3 p.m. there’s a Bowling Bonanza at 3J’s Bowling Alley for grades 1 through 8.
Thursday, Feb. 4 celebrate Career Day. Classroom visits from professionals to talk about careers.
Friday, Feb. 5: Teacher Appreciation Day. Students are to wear their gym uniforms to school. Catholic Schools Week Mass, 9 a.m., St. Ann Church. Everyone is invited to mark the close of Catholic Schools Week.
At 1 p.m., Annual Volleyball Games. Parents are invited to come watch the faculty take on grade eight.
