CAPE MAY – Fans of the paranormal will enjoy a spine-tingling weekend of events sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) with Cape May’s extraordinary ghost writer and psychic, Craig McManus. Learn about ghosts and hauntings from McManus, renowned author of four books on the paranormal happenings at America’s oldest seaside resort. Enjoy events including dinner and discussion with McManus on the ghosts of Cape May, a guided tour with McManus past haunted Cape May residences, and a paranormal investigation at midnight by McManus inside Cape May’s original haunted house, the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate.
Sit down to dinner and meet McManus in person during Dinner with the Ghost Writer on Fri., April 13. Join McManus at Aleathea’s Restaurant at the Inn of Cape May, 7 Ocean St., where he will host a discussion on everything you ever wanted to know about ghosts. McManus will take you on a fascinating journey through paranormal experiences in this special presentation and three-course dinner. Hear about some of his favorite haunts in Cape May, and some of his most memorable ghostly experiences. This is a limited event, so reserve early. Step on board a trolley for a Ghosts of Cape May Trolley Tour, a 45-minute evening ride through the haunted streets of Cape May. The paranormal findings of ghost writer Craig McManus will come alive as a guide translates McManus’ spooky stories. Ride past the flickering gas street lamps, learn about the haunted properties of Cape May and experience the spine-tingling tales exposed by McManus. Offered Fri., April 13 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sat., April 14 at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for children (ages 3-12).
On Sat., April 14, join McManus, himself, on an evening trolley ride through the streets of Cape May during A Ride With the Ghost Writer. McManus will relate his paranormal findings at various properties along the way. The tour begins and ends at the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St. Sat., April 14, at 7:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. Admission is $25 for all seats.
On Sat., April 14, 25 lucky people will get to spend midnight in the haunted Physick Estate with McManus during Midnight at the Physick Estate. McManus will share his experiences as he walks through the 1879 Physick Estate and perhaps even channel a spirit or two. This popular tour is limited to 25 people and is sold out.
