South Jersey Gas to Begin Construction in Shannon Oaks Development

By Press Release

FOLSOM, NJ — South Jersey Gas will begin the installation of natural gas main to approximately 100 homes within the Shannon Oaks development in Middle Township, Cape May County on Wed., Feb. 10, weather permitting. The work is expected to be completed by the end of March.
Installation of 2” yellow plastic natural gas mains will take place along Hawthorne Drive, Holly Drive, Cypress Drive, and Hemlock Drive, extending to Shunpike Road. Work will take place Mon. through Fri., between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. There is a possibility that work will be performed some Saturdays during the same timeframe.
Excavations will be required at the gas main and on private property for all service lines being installed; however any disturbances will be restored upon completion of service work. Grass areas will be repaired and any concrete or asphalt openings temporarily patched until final restoration work can be scheduled.
South Jersey Gas, along with all prequalified contractors working on this project, will take every measure possible to ensure public safety while we complete this work.
If residents have questions or would like more information about this project, please contact the South Jersey Gas Cape May division at 609-465-2900 and reference the Shannon Oaks, Middle Township project.
