Showcase Your Art at Zoo Exhibit

By Sponsored Content

COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage and the Cape May County Park and Zoo and the Zoo Society are sponsoring a new event, “Art & You at the Park & Zoo.” Over 400,000 visitors came to the Cape May County Park and Zoo last year. This is an opportunity to tap into that audience and showcase your work.
“Art & You at the Park & Zoo” will be a non-juried art show and sale. Any artist or artisan may reserve a display space and show and/or sell their works of art. One of the missions of the Division of Culture & Heritage is to promote our local arts and history organizations and our local artists. Since we appreciate how difficult it can be to get the public to visit you, we hope we can get a new audience to appreciate your work. The show will be located in the courtyard directly adjacent to the entrance to the zoo, so most visitors to the park will pass by the show. Any arts or history group is also welcome to set up a space and distribute information about their group. If that is not possible, you can also drop off information (such as brochures or flyers with your upcoming event dates) at the Division office and we will be glad to distribute it for you at our table.
Space rental will cost $30 and all proceeds will benefit the Zoo. One space is 12’ x 12’ and you will need to provide your own tents/display racks/chairs/etc. If you would like to participate, please call the Division for an application at (609)463-6415 or email culture@co.cape-may.nj.usand we will mail or email an application to you. Deadline for registration is May 20, 2014.
