Shell shock at the Wetlands Institute

By On Deck Staff

You may not think there are any good deals to be found at the Jersey shore, but a visit to the Jersey Cape Shell Show at the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, Aug.14, 15, and 16 qualifies.
Admission is only $2 for adults and free for children under 12.
Seashells from all over the world and the United States, sailor’s valentines, and artistic exhibits are on display.
Pick up some souvenirs for friends or family at the show. It’s the perfect place to shop for nautical and shell-themed crafts and gifts, rare and decorative shells, or beautiful jewelry.
Win fabulous prizes in the raffle or compete in the biggest shell competition for clam, razor clam, moon, oyster, or local conch shells.
Need a fun activity for the kids? Kids crafts are from noon to 2 p.m. each day. Children can learn more about sea life, play shell games, and get involved in make and take crafts.
For the best deal of all, become a member of the Jersey Cape Shell Club and admission to the show is free, along with a free membership pin of the official state shell of New Jersey.
Yearly membership is only $8 for individuals and $12 for a family membership.
Enjoy all the benefits of membership and have a great time at the show for one low price.
That qualifies as a pretty good deal!
