COURT HOUSE – Cape Christian Academy is currently packing Christmas shoeboxes for Haiti children through the New Missions shoebox drive.
New Missions is a full-service Christian mission that has served in Haiti since 1983. They have over 10,000 students who attend their 26 elementary schools and high school. Their scope of focus is to develop Christian leaders by “changing the life of a child”. They minister to their spiritual, physical and intellectual needs. Each child who attends New Missions’ schools and churches receives a hot meal every day as well as ongoing medical care at a fully staffed clinic.
New Missions’ goal this year is to collect and distribute 20,000 Christmas shoeboxes for children ages four to eighteen years old.
As many know, Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world. For most of these children, this will be their only gift they will open Christmas morning and what a joy it will surely bring. What may be a small sacrifice for us will most assuredly be received as an incredible blessing packed with love and prayers.
Some gift ideas are small toys, school supplies, hygiene items and clothing such as socks, underwear, sunglasses and hair accessories.
If God leads you to donate any items to be included in our shoeboxes or the $7 per shoebox that is required for shipping, please contact the school before November 4th at: 10 Oyster Rd., Cape May Court House, NJ, 08210, and 609-465-4132. Thank you.
