STRATHMERE — The Ladies of Monday’s Mahjongg Madness held their Second Annual Mahjongg Madness Fundraiser for C.A.R.A., The Coalition Against Rape and Abuse, at the Deauville Inn in Strathmere. This year’s event was a tremendous success. The Fundraiser Committee, affectionately named “The Mahjongg Angels,” gathered prizes and monetary donations from businesses all over Cape May County.
Wendy Dougherty headed the fundraiser committee and presented C.A.R.A. with donations totaling $9,000.
“This was almost double last year’s total, and we could not have done it without the businesses throughout our county and the support we get from Linda Brown, and the entire Deauville Inn Staff,” said Dougherty.
