By Press Release

SEA ISLE CITY – Each December, the City’s Division of Recreation hosts a Holiday House Lighting Contest, which is open to all local residents and businesses. The event is judged by volunteers from the Sea Isle City Garden Club, who rate each property in the three categories: Creativity (originality displayed in the theme), Aesthetic Effect (beauty of the display), and Endeavor (amount of energy that went into the production).
This year’s first place prize of $100, provided courtesy of First Bank of Sea Isle City, was awarded to the Poling family at 10 – 50th Street, where many white lights, greenery and other classic Christmas decorations were put to good use.
Second place prize of $50, also provided courtesy of First Bank of Sea Isle City, went to the Laidlaw family at 7804 Central Avenue, where inflatable holiday characters, motion lights, and other eye-catching decorations lit-up the night.
The Ferrilli family at 344 – 38th Street won the third place prize of a floral arrangement, provided courtesy of Rocky and Fred’s Creative Design Florist.  The Ferrilli home features many colorful lights, inflatable characters, and other cheery decorations.
