VFW Post Announces Scholarship Funding

COURT HOUSE – The Peterson–Little Post #386, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), is please to announce that for 2014 it will give a total of $11,000 in scholarship funding to high school seniors who live in the Lower Cape May Regional School District and attend either Lower Cape May Regional HS, Wildwood Catholic HS or Cape May County Technical HS. There will be three $3,000 scholarships and one $1,000 scholarship awarded by the VFW. The VFW has also contributed $1,000 to the Caper 10 Scholarship Fund. Interested applicants should get applications from their high school guidance counselor. If there are questions, contact the VFW’s Adjutant, Rich Nowakowski, at (609) 846-5128. Completed applications are due to the school guidance counselors by 28 April 2014. Funding for the Scholarship Program is from the annual Clam Bake held in September and a $1,000 gift from the Veterans Home Assoc. Shuffleboard League.
