CREST HAVEN – The Cape May County Technical School District provides adult individuals interested in earning a traditional high school diploma with a second chance. The Adult Evening High School program offers New Jersey residents, 17 years of age or older, the opportunity to complete their high school requirements on a part-time, evening, competency-based program schedule. There is a $25 registration fee, but no charge for tuition or books to attend the Adult High School.
Adult High School is scheduled to commence Sept. 9, and classes are in session Tuesday through Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m.
Students are generally scheduled for two nights per week as per individual credit requirements. Those who are 17 years of age must have a “Consent to Participate” form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
As part of the enrollment process, prospective applicants are pre-tested prior to admission into the program for program placement purposes. Individuals who have passed the High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA) may be waived from taking the pre-test at the discretion of the admission committee.
The open enrollment period has begun and applications are being accepted until Oct. 15, but earlier registration is encouraged in order to start the program in September.
For information about registration, contact the Adult High School Office at (609) 465-2161, ext. 681.
