Glenwood Avenue
The Delaware River Bay Authority (DRBA) donated twenty-five food baskets to Glenwood Avenue Elementary School’s families in need. Under the direction of Cape May Lewis Ferry’s Marketing Manager, Michael Porch, Glenwood was randomly selected to receive this year’s donations.
Adults from the Cape May Lewis Ferry delivered baskets filled with a turkey, milk, eggs, and trimmings for a great Thanksgiving feast to the Glenwood Avenue Elementary School. Assisting with the event at Glenwood was Principal J. Kenyon Kummings, Supervisor of Maintenance, Francisco Velez, Custodian, Craig Edwards, School Nurse, Cindy Fritz, and nursing student, Nicole Magee. Mrs. Fritz, along with two Wildwood High School seniors, Justin Fritz and Michael DeMayo, then delivered the baskets to the families in need. Those families in transitional housing received grocery store gift cards and a bag of nonperishable food.
