MAYS LANDING – Careme’s, the student-run, gourmet restaurant at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Academy of Culinary Arts, is accepting reservations for lunch and dinner service beginning Sept. 19.
The a la carte menu features choices from appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, desserts and fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables. ACA’s student-chefs also make all dessert pastries, breads and rolls.
Careme’s, located at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, offers a fine dining experience that’s unique in South Jersey. The restaurant is open Monday-Friday, August-December and January-May, when classes are in session. Guests are seated for lunch at 11:30 a.m. and for dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted. For reservations, call (609) 343-4940.
The restaurant is named after the first “celebrity chef” in culinary history, Marie-Antoine Careme. Careme’s command of culinary art was so famous in the early 19th century that he became known as “the chef of kings and the king of chefs.”
The ACA has been training future chefs and food service professionals for more than 30 years. For more information about the Academy, visit www.atlantic.edu/aca.
