MAYS LANDING – Careme’s, the student-run, gourmet restaurant at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Academy of Culinary Arts, is accepting reservations for lunch and dinner service beginning Sept. 19.
The a la carte menu features choices from appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, desserts and fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables. ACA’s student-chefs also make all dessert pastries, breads and rolls.
Careme’s, located at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, offers a fine dining experience that’s unique in South Jersey. The restaurant is open Monday-Friday, August-December and January-May, when classes are in session. Guests are seated for lunch at 11:30 a.m. and for dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted. For reservations, call (609) 343-4940.
The restaurant is named after the first “celebrity chef” in culinary history, Marie-Antoine Careme. Careme’s command of culinary art was so famous in the early 19th century that he became known as “the chef of kings and the king of chefs.”
