Pesticide Recertification Credits Offered in Court House

COURT HOUSE – CORE and “Private” credits will be offered at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Building at 355 Courthouse-So. Dennis Road, Cape May Court House on Oct. 26, 2011.
From 9 – 10 a.m., Dr. Andy Wyenandt- Extension Specialist of Vegetable Pathology will speak on Pesticide Resistance Prevention: New methods and technologies in resistance prevention will be discussed in an easy to understand and useful format.
From 10 -11 a.m., Rick VanVranken– Agricultural Agent will provide a workshop on Proper Sprayer Calibration & Calculation: Using real-world situations, multiple calculations will be worked through.
From 11 a.m. – 12 noon, Jenny Carleo, Agricultural Agent will present on Pesticide Safety & Handling: This class is a refresher and update on working safely with pesticides. It will give you the basic essentials on pesticide safety on and off the farm.
For each hour the cost is $40/person. If you plan on attending, please call the office of Jenny Carleo, Agricultural Agent, at (609) 465-5115 x607 for a registration brochure.
