On May 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Lower Township Police Department and Lower Township Elementary School District will sponsor the 18th annual D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Day.
This year’s event is hosted by the Naval Air Station Wildwood Museum at the Cape May County Airport.
This activity culminates an entire year of anti-drug, alcohol, and tobacco education in our schools.
Over 300 students from the Sandman Consolidated School sixth grade have graduated from D.A.R.E. class.
This is not only a fun day but educational as well.
This year we will have over twenty-five displays. Erma Fire Company will demonstrate the use of ‘Jaws of Life’ extrication equipment.
