On Friday, April 28, Rio Grande Baptist Academy participated in the Garden State Association of Christian Schools Junior High Academic and Fine Arts Competition in Sewell, N.J. Collectively, the five competing students accumulated enough points through their wins to earn the academy the “Quality Award” and third place in its size category for the number of awards won.
Zech Buck took first place in woodworking; Hannah Lukas placed first in religious reading and tied for third place in English grammar testing; Lindsay McLeod placed first in Bible teaching, first in English grammar testing, first in Old Testament Bible knowledge testing, second in a humorous interpretation speech and fifth in landscape photography; Kira Miller won first place in female vocal solo, first place for oral interpretation of the Scripture and second place for English grammar testing; Josias Rodriguez won first place in the preaching category.
Rio Grande Baptist Academy is now enrolling for the 2017-2018 school year.
