DENNIS TOWNSHIP – The October 2016 Employees of the Month for Dennis Township School District are custodian Kevin Smith and 4th grade teacher Kim Holman.
Nominated by many of his colleagues, Kevin Smith “is a hardworking, dedicated employee with the best interests of the district at heart” according to his supervisor John McGroarty.
Kim Holman “loves her students and always goes above and beyond for them and the district,” states Betteann Kerr, DTEA co-president. “She is always the first to volunteer for every occasion and inspires others to get involved in school and community activities.”
New Dennis Township Principal Jamie VanArtsdalen has implemented the program to recognize more employees for their hard work and dedication. Employees of the Month receive a certificate, use of a designated parking spot for the month and the acclaim of their administrator and colleagues. “I really wanted to do something more for everyone who goes above and beyond their regular duties on a daily basis,” explains VanArtsdalen. “It’s a small recognition, but I hope it shows that all of our employees are appreciated and recognized.”
