DENNISVILLE — The Dennis Township Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Tues., Aug. 9, 2011. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the All Purpose Room of the Dennis Township Primary School.
The purpose of the meeting is to hold a board retreat and to conduct an interview for the vacancy left on the board with the resignation of Constance Chabok. The board will present a resolution to go into executive session.
Chabok’s seat on the board was to expire in April 2013. A replacement will be named to sit on the board until the upcoming school election in April 2012. At that time voters will elect three members to a three-year term as well as elect a one-year seat to replace Chabok.
Charlene Zoerb, a representative of the New Jersey School Boards Association, will be in attendance to discuss the township board’s goals and objectives as well as the direction it wishes to take for the upcoming school year.
Formal action may be taken at this meeting.
