Common Core Awareness Symposium to Be Held Sept. 27

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE — The common core standards initiative is scheduled to be fully implemented in the 2014-2015 school year. This agenda is opposed by many parents, teachers, legislators, and citizens. In order to educate New Jersey residents, Concerned Citizens of Southern New Jersey is hosting a “No More Common Core” symposium Sept. 27, 2014 at the Ramada Inn, 2216 Landis Avenue, Vineland, New Jersey. Ticket donation of $30 includes a hot buffet lunch and proceeds will be used for speakers’ travel and accommodations. This is not a fundraiser, but a symposium of learning. The forum will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m.
The panel of experts includes Dr. Sandra Stotsky, Professor Emerita of the University of Arkansas, Professor Christopher Tienken of Seton Hall University, Dr. Duke Pesta of the University of Wisconsin, Mrs. Deneen Borelli the author and FreedomWorks spokesperson, Dr. Thomas Borelli of the National Center for Public Policy Research, and Mr. Vern Williams the MathReasoning Founder in Fairfax, Virginia.
