COURT HOUSE – Congratulations to Cape Tech High School’s Communication Arts Technology Program of Study on the first-place win in the Statewide NJ Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) & New Jersey Prevention Network (NJPN) Anti-Underage Drinking PSA Contest. With a challenge to all schools in the state, each county selected a winner to go on to the state-level judging. An ad from Cape Tech was selected to represent Cape May County, and went on to compete with all counties at the state-level. The Cape May County submission has gone on to win the New Jersey State recognition.
The statewide winning ad was part of the initiative in the NJPN’s 12th Annual Addiction Conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey this month, and the ad will be hosted on the New Jersey State agency’s Facebook page. The CAT TV crew will be recognized by the organization at a Town Hall Meeting in April.
Rebekah Burgos produced the ad with Nathaniel Knight as crew, actresses Katrina Peterson and Ms. Kozakowski-Chin, and with Ms. Siciliano’s gracious hosting of the ‘set design’ in our travel and tourism setting. The “Better Things to Do” Public Service Announcement (PSA) contest is devoted to raise awareness in schools, as well as to gather parent support to prevent serving alcohol to underage students within any home.
