COURT HOUSE – The winners of the Cape May County Annual Earth Day Celebration Logo Contest have been chosen.
The contest, sponsored by the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Park and Zoo, is held annually to commemorate the county’s Earth Day Celebration. This year’s theme is “Put Plastic in its Place.”
The following winners were selected from the more than two hundred entries received from Cape May County students.
The first place design which will be featured on the official Earth Day T-shirt was entered by Gabrielle Zenyuk, a high student at Cape May County Technical
The second place entry is from Hanna Gabriel from Ocean City Intermediate School. Chosen in a very close third, is an entry from Amber Moore, also from the Cape May County Technical School.
The Cape May County Earth Day Celebration will take place at the Cape May County Park and Zoo on Sat., April 21, 2018. The day begins at 8:30 a.m. with a 1 Mile Fun Run followed by a 5K Race at 9:00 a.m. and the Earth Day Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Fair will be a fun-filled day of activities including live music, Interactive Drum Circle, educational exhibits, environmental magic show, crafts and a food court.
