Cape Christian Academy Announces Standardized Test Scores

COURT HOUSE – Cape Christian Academy congratulates to their 6th grade students on their excellent scores on the TerraNova achievement test. The class scored better than 80% of other 6th grade classes in the nation taking the test in Mathematics Computation. Their 4th, 6th and 10th grade classes scored above 70%. Overall their classes rose 9.2% compared to last year’s scores in Mathematics Computation.
Cape Christian’s 6th graders also did well in Reading Comprehension, scoring at the 72.8% range. In Reading their 2nd, 4th, 5th 6th, 8th, and 11th graders scored above the 70% range. When compared to last year’s scores, their Reading Comprehension scores rose 5.1%. Their science and social studies scores are also on the rise. Great job students and parents! The TerraNova results used for this comparison are the Median Normal Curve Equivalent (MNCE).
The TerraNova Achievement Test, Third Edition is a national test developed by CTB/McGraw-Hill. The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) endorsed the TerraNova test in 2011. Cape Christian Academy tests students each year and each class average has consistently been well above the national average.
