COURT HOUSE — Atlantic Cape Community College will host Health Career Planning Sessions at the Mays Landing and Cape May County campuses in Dec. to provide potential students with valuable tips about careers in allied health. The sessions are free and open to the public.
Cape May County Campus: 5:30-7 p.m., Dec. 3, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, in Cape May Court House, Room 113
Mays Landing Campus: 5:30-7 p.m., Dec. 11, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Cafeteria B
The sessions are designed for those thinking about pursuing a health career, as well as those considering changing careers, returning to school or those currently enrolled in prerequisite courses for an allied health degree.
They will detail the educational requirements, clarify the training needed to enter or advance in health professions, review roles and responsibilities within various job titles and explore training options and alternate career routes. Shorter technical training certificates and entry-level positions will be reviewed as career advancement opportunities.
