Atlantic Cape Hosts 4th Annual Communication and Art Awards April 29

MAYS LANDING – Seventy recipients, including Atlantic Cape’s communication and art majors, faculty and alumni will receive awards in 46 categories. The program will be hosted by Mike Richman of “The Mike and Diane Show” on 95.1 WAYV radio, with an appearance by Gabriella Caloiero of Egg Harbor Township, cast member on MTV’s I Used to Be Fat and an Atlantic Cape communication major.
This year, six outstanding Communication students are up for the Communication Major of the Year Award including: Brian Coulter of Somers Point, Revati Doshi of Egg Harbor Township, Corinthea Harris of Ocean City, Dmytro Ryazantsev of Pleasantville, Marie Lizette Salomon of Egg Harbor Township and Robert Speirs of Absecon.
Also, Professional Pioneer Awards will be awarded to Atlantic Cape Theater Technician David Capelli of Nesco, and retired Atlantic Cape Public Relations and Publications Manager Kathy McGowan of Absecon. A Faculty Pioneer Award will go to Atlantic Cape Executive Director of College Relations Kathy Corbalis of Glassboro.
Madison Russ of Ocean City will receive five awards at this year’s ceremony, the most ever.
Atlantic Cape Professor Effie Russell of Ocean City will collect age appropriate books that will be distributed to disadvantaged children, grades 4-8, in Atlantic and Cape May counties during Atlantic Cape’s Summer Youth College in July.
