Atlantic Cape Graduates Eligible for New Scholarship Program Through Rutgers University-Camden

MAYS LANDING — Beginning Fall 2018, Atlantic Cape Community College graduates who transfer to Rutgers University-Camden are eligible to apply for the new “Rutgers-Camden Scholarship at Atlantic Cape CC” program.
The program provides merit-based financial support to Atlantic Cape graduates of up to $5,000 in their first year with an additional $5,000 for their second year.
“We are excited about this new scholarship for graduates of Atlantic Cape. We encourage them to take full advantage of the opportunity by considering one of eight Rutgers-Camden degree completion programs available right here in Mays Landing. Students can maximize the benefits of a Rutgers bachelor’s degree along with significant financial savings through this new scholarship all while staying close to home,” said Rutgers University–Camden Provost Michael Palis.
Criteria for students to be eligible includes:
• Candidates must complete their associate’s degree from Atlantic Cape Community College prior to entering Rutgers University–Camden
• Candidates must apply, and be accepted, to Rutgers University–Camden Recipients must enroll as full-time undergraduate students in the Camden College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, or School of Nursing at Rutgers University–Camden.
• Candidates may attend classes on the Rutgers University–Camden Campus or at Atlantic Cape Community College.
• The scholarship may be renewed for one year provided that the recipient remains in good academic standing
• The Rutgers–Camden Scholarship at Atlantic Cape CC may be applied only to Rutgers University– Camden programs and not to other Rutgers University programs
The following levels of support will be available to students within these GPA ranges:
GPA Range – Scholarship Amount Per Year – Scholarship Amount for Two Years
3.00-3.20 – $1,500 – $3,000
3.21-3.40 – $2,500 – $5,000
3.41-3.60 – $3,000 – $6,000
3.61-3.80 – $4,000 – $8,000
3.81-4.00 – $5,000 – $10,000
“We appreciate the scholarship opportunity that our partner Rutgers is providing for our students to allow them to continue in their academic success at an affordable cost, creating an even more accessible pathway to a four-year degree,” commented Dr. Barbara Gaba, president of Atlantic Cape Community College.
