COURT HOUSE – Members of the community are invited to support food and clothing drives this fall at Atlantic Cape Community College.
The Student Government Association is collecting nonperishable food items for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey—Southern Branch through Nov. 22. Collection boxes are located at all three campuses. Other initiatives include:
Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd., Atlantic City—Collecting nonperishable canned food items for the Community Harvesters Church Food Pantry through Nov. 14. Collection containers are located throughout the campus.
Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House—Collecting gently used coats, gloves, hats and scarves for student services’ “Warming one person at a time” activity. Collection boxes are located on the first and second floors of CMCC until Dec. 11.
Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing—The Culinary Student Association is collecting non-perishable food items, reading materials and toiletries, for the 150th Co. Maintenance Section of the Army Branch deployed in Afghanistan through Nov. 8. Drop-off boxes are located in the ACA administrative office, M-Building.
The CSA is also collecting jars of peanut butter and jelly through Nov. 31. Collection boxes are located outside of Strudels Bakeshop, M-Building. Donations will benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey—Southern Branch and The Campus Kitchen at Atlantic City.
The Nursing Club is collecting men’s, women’s and children’s coats and jackets for the Atlantic City Rescue Mission through Nov. 19. Donation boxes are located in the Walter Edge Theater, library, cafeteria and gym.
