Cape May Tech
The Cape May County Technical School is an approved testing site for the administration of the High School Equivalency Test (HSE), formerly known as the GED, which provides an opportunity for individuals to earn a NJ State endorsed high school diploma by demonstrating competency in five subject areas: Math, Writing, Reading, Science and Social Studies.  All HSE testing in NJ is now computer based, allowing for faster access to scores. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, a resident of New Jersey and not currently enrolled in high school. The testing fee for the complete battery is $92.00.
The HSE test is generally administered twice per month at the Cape May County Technical School. Please refer to the school website, www.capemaytech.com for the complete testing schedule. Initial test applicants will be scheduled for an orientation/registration one week prior to the selected testing date. Individuals that would like to schedule a retest in any subject area are not required to attend an orientation.  The entire test battery (all five tests) can be completed in two test sessions of approximately 5 hours each. Retest schedules are determined by subject area.
In addition, the CMCTS offers HSE preparation classes, free of charge, for individuals interested in improving their academic skills prior to taking the HSE exam. Classes are available in the morning, afternoon and evening at three locations: the Wildwood One Stop Career Center, the Atlantic Cape Community College Court House Campus and the Cape May County Technical School.  If you are interested in the HSE preparation program, please contact Betsy Satterfield at 609-380-0200, extension 644.
Individuals that would like additional information about the HSE or who are interested in registering for the HSE at the Cape May County Technical School may visit the Adult Education Office in person, located in Room # 145 of the Tozour “100” Building, adjacent to Parking Lot C or call 609-380-0242.

The students at Cape Trinity Catholic School, under the supervision of Director Leah Getz, have been working diligently, preparing for their annual spring production.  The three performances of Guys and Dolls will take place at 7 p.m. on April 28 and 29 and at 1:30 p.m. on April 30 in the school auditorium at 1500 Central Avenue in North Wildwood. Admission is FREE for Grade School Students and $5.00 for Adults.
Sister Sheila Murphy, Administrative Director at CTC, offers free admission to all students so that the CTC students can share their performance with their friends. In addition to the Wildwoods, Cape Trinity Catholic students live in Cape May, Lower, Middle and Dennis Townships. Guys and Dolls is considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy that you won’t want to miss! Tickets are available at the door or in advance at the school office.

Wildwood
In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Officer Phil Program was excited to present their 2015-2016 program to Glenwood Elementary School, on April 13. With the involvement of the Wildwood Police Department, the Officer Phil Program focused on important safety topics including stranger awareness, school safety and bullying. Armed with catchy slogans, magic and fun, the “Edu-tainer” energized and engaged the audience in a way that makes staying safe the cool thing to do. For the children’s enjoyment, Officer Phil’s new pal, Buddy the Bulldog, stopped by to help teach some of the lessons.
