Love of Linda Benefit Horse Show
Saturday, Oct. 13 at 7:30 a.m.
Pembrook Farm, 1722 Rt. 47, Eldora
Pembrook Farm’s horse show from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. will feature the $2,500 Annual Hunter Derby, and the $1,000 Marshall & Sterling and ECSJ Hunter/Jumper Show. There will also be a Kids Festival & Art Show from 12 to 3 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Love of Linda Cancer Fund. For more information, visit www.pembrookfarm.com.


Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk raises awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. The event is a noncompetitive three- to five-mile walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. “I Shoot for the Girls” National Breast Cancer Foundation Fundraiser

Atlantic Cape Community College, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing
“I Shoot for the Girls” national tournament raises money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation through the sport of archery and firearms. It was started in conjunction with Shoot Like a Girl, a company with the mission of growing the number of women who participate in shooting sports by empowering them with confidence. For a fourth year, Atlantic Cape Archery will host an “I Shoot for the Girls” tournament which is strictly archery due to facility constraints. Registration is $23 for all divisions, with $20 going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. For more information, visit www.atlanticcapearchery.club.


“Welcome Fall” Soup & Sandwich Fundraiser
Sunday, Oct. 21 to Friday, Oct. 26, and Sunday, Oct. 28 to Friday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m.
Anglesea Pub, 116 W. 1st Ave., North Wildwood
On select dates from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can get Anglesea Pub’s soup of the day, a sandwich with a side and a non-alcoholic beverage for just $10. Gratuity is extra. Tickets may be purchased from any Survivors of Cancer, Inc. (S.O.C.s) committee member, or at the door. Proceeds benefit S.O.C.s.


Black Sheep Motorcycle Club’s Annual Beef ‘n Beer
Sunday, Oct. 28 at 12 p.m.
Menz Restaurant & Bar, 985 Rt. 47 S., Rio Grande
For the 14th year, the Black Sheep Motorcycle Club will hold its annual Beef ‘n Beer on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Menz Restaurant & Bar. Attendees will enjoy live entertainment, door prizes, a 50/50 and Chinese auctions. Tickets are $25 and are available at the door or from any Black Sheep member. All proceeds will go to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund.


Susie Q’s Hair Salon Pink Hair Extension Fundraiser

Susie Q’s Hair Salon will hold its annual pink hair extension fundraiser throughout the month of October. Receive a pink hair extension for a $10 donation. Donations will be split between Gilda’s Club South Jersey and the Love of Linda Cancer Fund. Susie Q’s Hair Salon can go onsite for local schools, sporting events and larger groups. The Shirley Mae Breast Cancer Assistance Fund presents the 17th Annual Shirley Mae Run & Michael J. Walk featuring a 5K Run, a 1.5 Mile Walk and a Kids’ Fun Run. The fun-filled morning will feature an inspirational Celebration of Survivors and more, and complimentary refreshments will be available during the event. Special commemorative merchandise will also be available for purchase, with all proceeds going to the Shirley Mae Breast Cancer Assistance Fund, the Michael J. Neustadter Pancreatic Cancer Fund and Gilda’s Club South Jersey.
