By Press Release

AVALON — The Wells Memorial Presbyterian Church is pleased to announce that Baritone/Pianist Tom Baust will be returning to Avalon to provide “A Program of Sacred Music” on Sun. morning, Sept. 28. He will perform special music beginning at 9:45 a.m. and will participate in a service of Song, Praise and Worship beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. J. Scottie Griffin, D. Min. will be preaching.
Mr. Baust is a well known performer in the Tri-State area and has performed in numerous venues in the U.S., Canada, and overseas. Locally he has performed at the Ocean City Tabernacle and with the Ocean City Pops. His musical styles range from the Classics, where he has sung with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Opera Company, and numerous choral organizations, to the American Songbook of Standards and Broadway. He is in an increasing demand for solo programs accompanying himself on the piano. As a accomplished pianist, he is in demand as an accompanist and works at the University of the Arts as an accompanist and vocal coach.
He sings with the Philly Pops as a member of The Voices of the Pops Ensemble and last year was their first singing Santa Claus for their Holiday Pops series. He performs programs with other artist friends under the umbrella of “Tom Baust & Friends,” has recorded for several Music Publishing Companies, has several recordings of his own, and has a private studio of voice & piano students.
In his spare time he restores his 209 year old Bucks County Farmhouse, where he hosts an Annual Open House the 1st Saturday in June celebrating “History & The Arts.” See www.tombaust.com for additional information.
Wells Memorial Presbyterian Church is a summer-only congregation affiliated with the Presbytery of West Jersey (PCUSA), and is located at First Avenue and 9th Street in Avalon, NJ.
