AVALON – The Wells Memorial Presbyterian Church is pleased to announce that Baritone/Pianist Tom Baust will be returning to Avalon to provide “A Program of Sacred Music” on Sunday morning, Sept. 29. He will perform special music beginning at 9:45 a.m. and will participate in a service of Song, Praise and Worship beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. J. Scottie Griffin, D. Min. will be preaching.
Mr. Baust is a well known performer in the Tri-State area and has performed overseas as well. Locally he has performed at the Ocean City Tabernacle and for the Ocean City Pops. His musical endeavors have included the Classics to the American Standard songbook. He has sung for the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Opera Company, and soloed for numerous choral organizations in addition to being a well sought after accompanist.
He performs with Peter Nero’s Philly Pops Orchestra as a member of The Voices of the Pops Ensemble, performs programs under the umbrella of “Tom Baust & Friends,” has several recordings, and in addition to private piano & vocal students, works at the University of the Arts. In his spare time he restores his 207 year old Bucks County Farmhouse where he hosts an annual Open House the 1st Sat. in June celebrating “History & The Arts.”
