St. John Ocean City Celebrates One Year of Rejoicing Spirits

OCEAN CITY – This Sunday, St. John Lutheran Church, 1001 Central Avenue in Ocean City, will celebrate the one year anniversary of offering Rejoicing Spirits worship services. St. John is the first church in New Jersey to host monthly Rejoicing Spirits worship services, and will hold its next service on Nov. 10 at 2 p.m.
Rejoicing Spirits reaches out and encourages people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to become part of a welcoming faith community. To better serve this population, the Rejoicing Spirits inclusive worship service captures the attention and interest of these individuals along with their families, friends and the local supportive community. Although the Rejoicing Spirits service is adapted to more readily engage people with developmental disabilities, it remains inspiring and meaningful to everyone who attends.
