CAPE MAY POINT — Come join with the Sisters of Saint Joseph as they celebrate their century of owning and operating the historic Saint Mary-by-the-Sea Retreat House overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The sisters have arranged a special salute, a weekend: “Lifting the Creative Spirit & Tapping the Artist Within, Friday through Sunday.
Artists, poets, photographers, amateurs and professionals, all are invited to participate in the weekend, take courses and arrange for a stay at St. Mary by-the-Sea.
There will be morning and afternoon workshops Saturday, with well-known, experienced artists, writers and photographers providing lessons ranging from architectural collage to poetry writing, natural light and portraiture photography, watercolor and life figure drawing.
Events are part of the sisters of St. Joseph fundraising efforts to make the second and third floors of St. Mary by-the-Sea more accessible to sisters and others who come for retreat.
