OCEAN CITY – Phil Carnuccio is the speaker this Sunday at Ocean City Tabernacle, August 14. Carnuccio is the founding pastor of the large multi-generational Providence Church of West Chester, PA. He was formerly on the staff of Calvary Fellowship in Downingtown.
The busy two services at Providence have birthed a movement of churches and ministries to include a Kingdom Business ministry and a school for Biblical Studies. These churches and ministries operate under an umbrella ministry called Sequoia which Phil helped to establish. He also works with Dove Christian Fellowship International, Lititz, PA. Carnuccio preaches at the two identical worship services, 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.
Recording artist and country singer Allison Speer is in concert at 7 p.m. and provides the music in the morning worship services. Speer has sung on the Gaither Homecoming videos and has been featured soloist with Charles Stanley, Louis Palau, Johnny Hunt, and others. Her winsome singing and folksy storytelling combine for a family evening.
An informal song service, ranging from hymns to new praise and worship songs, precedes each service. Greg Field is songleader with Carolyn Lothian on the concert grand Steinway piano and Jeff Seals on the four-manual Allen organ. Paul Berges, drummer, joins on the upbeat tunes.
Child-care is in the Noah’s Ark nursery morning and evening and age-appropriate Sunday School is offered for children during the morning services. Everyone is welcome—come in vacation clothes.
