Our Lady of Fatima Statue to Visit Bishop McHugh, May 19

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – The community is invited to attend a special prayer service and assembly featuring the world-famous statue of Our Lady of Fatima at Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School, 2221 Route 9 North, Cape May Court House, N.J., May 19 at 1 p.m. The statue will be in residence at the school for just about an hour.
The International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima was sculpted in 1947 by Jose Thedim, based on the description of Sister Lucia, one of the three young seers who saw Our Lady each month from May to October 1917 in Fatima, Portugal. Oct. 13, 1947, in the presence of some 150,000 pilgrims, the statue was blessed by the Bishop of Leiria at Fatima.
To this day, the Pilgrim Virgin Committee continues to bring the statue to sites throughout the world.
