New Date and Time Announced for Next ‘Rejoicing Spirits’ at St. John Lutheran Church

By Press Release

OCEAN CITY – After listening to feedback from caregivers, we have a new schedule for the monthly Rejoicing Spirits services at St. John Lutheran Church, 10th & Central Avenue in Ocean City.  Rejoicing Spirits services will now be held the first Sunday of each month at 1 p.m.  This should allow caregivers more time to return to their group homes before the afternoon shift change.  Rejoicing Spirits is an inclusive, meaningful Christian worship service that welcomes, embraces, and celebrates the gifts of our brothers and sisters with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The next service will be held June 5 at 1 p.m.
Rejoicing Spirits enriches the spiritual lives of people with intellectual disabilities through a meaningful Christian worship service and fellowship time in free, expressive environment. Individuals are free to be themselves while actively participating as contributing members of an inclusive faith community. People with disabilities, their families, friends and other supportive community members come together to worship in a “shush-free” environment. For more information about Rejoicing Spirits visit www.rejoicingspirits.org.
